We actively promote the inclusion of eye health within the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and support the development of partnerships with sectors beyond health, such as education, gender and economic development.
We pride ourselves on our ability to advocate as a cohesive united voice with the World Health Organisation, UN and regional and country policy agenda’s. We enable representation on a scale not possible for individual members to achieve alone.
We promote the development of good policy and practice. Our key resources include the Vision Atlas, knowledge hub, webinars, news, and World Sight Day materials.
We build effective partnerships with members, supporters, ministries of health and other partners to tackle the barriers to delivering eye care. We have strong regional networks, specialist member working groups and opportunities to connect online and at events.
